Reporting to the Mine General Superintendent, the Mine Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for the Mine Maintenance team. This includes accountability for the direction, planning, control and review of all underground maintenance activities, to ensure compliance with all Corporate and Divisional requirements.
What You'll Do:
- Safe planning and execution of all Underground activities for maintenance.
- Ensure a safe working environment for all employees for all employees by maintaining compliance with all applicable safety requirements, leading by example and promoting a safety attitude to all employees.
- Meet Corporate and Divisional profit plans through effective and prudent utilization, control, and protection of all assets.
- Ensure employees are set up for success through effective training and development.
- Drive continuous improvement in all areas through effective collaboration, cooperation and communication with Staff and Hourly employees.
What You'll Bring:
- Strong skills in the areas of collaboration, communication and organization.
- Demonstrated safety leadership.
- Technical diploma, Journeyperson ticket or Engineering degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant mining experience.
- Demonstrated leadership in all areas of minefield planning, operations and maintenance is required.
- Good computer skills, especially in the Office 365 suite.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills including public speaking.
- Ability to prioritize work tasks with minimal supervision.
