This position is a full-time, temporary position for approximately a 12-month duration.
What You'll Do:
Â
- Use project management tools, techniques, and skills to successfully manage multiple projects to completion for Cory Surface Operations
- Oversee engineering and design for projects, ensuring all applicable site standards, specifications, codes, and regulations are followed
- Work with the procurement department to bid, evaluate, and deliver goods, materials, and services
- Written and oral reporting and presentations
- Provide technical support to the Mill Operations and Maintenance Departments as needed
- Provide technical guidance and work supervision for engineering, technical and professional staff as needed
- Monitoring the work of service providers to ensure that all regulations are being followed and work is being done safely
- Coordinate construction activities
- Lead & support quality assurance, quality control, commissioning, and turnover activities
- Be a safety leader and foster a positive safety culture
What You'll Bring:
Â
- A bachelor's degree from a recognized university in the field of Mechanical Engineering, a Mechanical Engineering Technologist diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Supervisory experience required
- 10+ years of practical and progressively responsible experience in a heavy industrial environment strongly preferred
- PMP designation would be considered an asset
- Engineering design experience would be considered an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with scheduling tools and software
- Experience in project management
- Positive safety behavior and safety leadership
- Ability to handle a complex and varied workload, prioritizing work tasks with minimal supervision
