Reporting to both the Manager and Sr. Manager, Pricing Strategy, as part of the Commercial NPK Product Management team, this position will be responsible for the development of various analytics, tools, and processes in support of pricing strategy initiatives. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across numerous teams within the Commercial team, including product management, sales, market research, Data Analytics & Optimization, and Transportation, Distribution & Logistics. This position can be hired at either the Analyst or Senior Analyst level.

 

What you will do:

  • Aid in the development and maintenance of analytical reports and dashboards to support the analysis and measurement of Pricing Strategy initiatives
  • Extract and synthesize data from multiple systems to perform comprehensive analysis of customer sales transactions across a broad product portfolio, emphasizing key metrics such as sales prices, volumes, cost-to-serve, netbacks, and relative benchmarks to inform strategic pricing decisions
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of pricing and business models by integrating complex, multi-source data to identify and support pricing opportunities across the NPK portfolio and major commercial initiatives. Including key metrics, market intelligence, and competitor analysis that drive insights and identify opportunities for evolving pricing
  • Provide analytical support to the refinement of the current price list tool for gathering, approving, and communicating pricing updates. Including ways to reference and track prices relative to key benchmarks and/or competitor matching
  • Provide ad hoc pricing, netback, and margin analytical support for Product Management teams, Sales teams, and Pricing Strategy team
  • Work effectively within a small, highly accountable team; display a flexible “can do” attitude and willingness to assist where required
  • Manage deadlines on multiple projects of varying complexities
  • Maintain confidentiality and use judgement on when and to whom to share information with
  • Be enthusiastic, curious, have an ability to look at issues from multiple angles with strong desire to learn.

 

What you will bring:

  • University degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field with 1-2 years of relevant experience within fertilizer and industrial markets
  • Strong proficiency working in SAP IBP, MSS, SAP, Power Query and/or Power BI, and SharePoint
  • Advanced skills in all Microsoft applications with a high skill level in Excel
  • Passion for data and problem solving, driven by a high level of curiosity
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Strong relationship building skills; able to drive cross-functional alignment, work collaboratively and effectively interact with other core business functions
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing tight deadlines & competing priorities.

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

The salary range for this role, in Deerfield, IL, is between $56,500 - $142,000. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan [INSERT LTIP where applicable], consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process.
