What You'll Do:
This people leader role is responsible for leading a high performing team of chemists in delivering high quality technical regulatory and chemistry expertise across crop protection, adjuvants, bio stimulants, and commodity fertilizer products. This role will focus on problem-solving, technical documentation delivery, project support while driving cross-training across Loveland product lines and wholesale chemistry support.

- Provide ongoing coaching and development to direct reports to foster ownership and efficient service delivery in key areas such as EU REACH chemical compliance and product data sheet creation and maintenance.
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for Loveland products and wholesale chemistry support, delivering technical regulatory documentation, assessments, and project contributions.
- Provide chemistry-based regulatory support for product registrations, audits, and lifecycle management.
- Drive cross-training initiatives across product chemists, fostering shared technical knowledge and regulatory understanding.
- Prepare and deliver a variety of regulatory documentation.Â
- Translate laboratory, R&D, and manufacturing data into clear, compliant regulatory summaries and assessments suitable for submission to authorities.
- Collaborate with R&D, analytical labs, production, quality control, and supply chain to align product chemistry with specifications and regulatory commitments.
- Gather, critically review, and approve technical and regulatory chemistry data.
- Utilize regulatory knowledge management systems for effective data entry, retrieval, and version control.
- Complete additional tasks and assignments to meet business needs and objectives.
What You'll Bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences or Agronomy is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in pesticide, fertilizer or ag chemical registration, regulatory chemistry, product stewardship, or related product development roles, with a strong focus on Crop Protection products regulated under FIFRA.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of EPA registration requirements (FIFRA and/or TSCA), and product chemistry data requirements.
- Proven experience working with or interpreting laboratory and analytical data in support of regulatory submissions.
- Familiarity with global ag chemical regulatory frameworks outside the U.S. (e.g., EU, Canada, LATAM).
- Proven experience managing and leading technical or subject matter expert teams to achieve results.
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data quality, regulatory accuracy, and compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across Regulatory, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and discrete projects in a dynamic regulatory environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset. Demonstrated initiative and strong project management skills. Ability to lead project & process implementation.
- Ability to translate complex technical information into regulator-ready documentation, actionable project management & guidance for the business.
- Commitment to cross-training and knowledge-sharing.
- Ability to travel 10%.
- Postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD) is preferred.

The salary range for this role, in Illinois location, is between $91,200 - $143,220. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process.Â
