What You'll Do:
Â
- Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you are actively contributing to a safe work environment
- Develop Quality Management System (QMS) elements, policies, and procedures referencing ISO 9001 guidance
- Support implementation of QMS programs and software solutions to support the evolution of a strong and engaged Quality culture throughout Proprietary Products manufacturing facilities
- Perform audits of the Quality Management System, identify gaps, and develop recommendations to address
- Utilize technical, chemical, process, and quality expertise to lead initiatives to continuously improve Quality (e.g., the Recipe Integrity Team)
- Participate in and/or lead investigations related to quality nonconformances. Ensure that root causes are properly identified and appropriately addressed. Oversee the development of necessary corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs) and track them to completion
- Inspect processes and equipment to ensure quality specifications are met
- Work closely with all disciplines to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure plant processes are aligned to provide maximum output levels and efficiencies
- Monitor and analyze quality performance. Track site KPIs to cultivate continual improvement and quality risk mitigation. Continually monitor the status of Quality program elements to ensure improvement, including identifying areas where additional support and/or training is needed
- Work with the Engineering Director to integrate the Quality MOC process
- Provide Quality reviews for MOC’s
- Review quality impact and approve project designs as part of the management of change process
- Drive reduction in the number and severity of complaints and improvement in the customer experience
- Provide training to site personnel and mentor new engineers and employees in the fundamentals of manufacturing quality
- Complete special projects as needed and any other tasks assigned to support personnel safety, product quality, business continuity, and growth

What You'll Bring:

Required Education and Experience:
Â
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, or equivalent background and experience; experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years in an industrial processing environment required, with background and/or knowledge of chemical processing fundamentals
- Internal applicants may be considered in lieu of meeting minimum education and/or experience requirements
Â
Preferred Education and Experience:
Â
- Experience with Quality Management Systems preferred
- Experience with ISO9001 preferred
- Experience in quality control and/or quality assurance preferred
- Experience with root cause analysis, including TapRooT, preferred

- Understanding of basic chemistry and chemical concepts

Compensation & Benefits:Â
Â
The salary range for this role, in Biola, CA location, is between $75, 300 - $193,800. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process. Â
