What You'll Do:
- Promote and role model a positive safety culture; lead daily safety discussions, risk mitigation, and oversee compliance with all Safety, Health & Environmental (SH&E) policies.
- Foster and sustain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing staff on proper use of control points, equipment, and resources.
- Lead and manage a team of manufacturing/production personnel.
- Actively participate in hiring, training, and reviewing performance and development of staff.
- Accomplish work results by establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving production problems and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data.
- Champion continuous improvement and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives; support and guide staff to identify and eliminate waste, boost efficiency, and implement 5S & Performance Management methodologies.
- Enhance plant productivity (OEE), eliminate bottlenecks, and reduce process cycle times.
- Support Yield Management initiatives to monitor, analyze, and control plant yield performance; develop strategies to reduce volume losses and optimize usage of raw materials through Lean methodology and continuous improvement tools.
- Maintain quality service by working with the quality lab and enforcing organization standards.
- Support and guide production personnel to seek ways to eliminate waste and improve efficiency throughout the plant.
- Work with planners to maintain supply of raw chemicals and packaging materials meet production needs.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree required; experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
- Minimum 5 years production and/or manufacturing experience required.
- 2 + years of leadership/supervisory experience.
- Strong background in all aspects of manufacturing.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Change management experience.
- PSM Training Preferred.
- Strong time management skills, effectively balancing competing priorities and allocating resources efficiently.
