The Training Coordinator role reports into the Supervisor of Training for Canadian Nitrogen. This role is responsible for assigning, scheduling and tracking all mandatory and non-mandatory training. The Training Coordinator will provide service to both Fort Saskatchewan and Joffre Nitrogen locations helping to develop and maintain site-specific training material, while also acting as a SME during development and updating of Nutrien specific courses. The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate exceptional organizational and interpersonal abilities, combined with a proven capacity to work independently and exercise sound judgment. Strong presentation skills and a talent for facilitating engaging learning discussions are essential to excel in this role. 

 

This position is based out of Nutrien's Fort Saskatchewan site and is not available for remote work.

 

What you will do:

  • Support the training requirements for all site personnel
  • Maintain curriculum/items assignment in myHR, while also maintaining all training records for site personnel
  • Organize and deliver new hire onboarding while also ensuring the material is up to date
  • Manage site Progression system, working closely with progression system owners
  • Support Nutrien specific contractor training strategy
  • Report to site leadership on site training while ensuring alignment and consistent communications
  • Ensure consistent implementation of new or revised training items or programs at each site

 

What you will bring:

  • Highschool Diploma
  • 5+ years working in an industrial setting
  • Currently holding or working towards a professional designation (CPTM, CIT, CLDP) is considered an asset
  • Proven proficiency in written and verbal communications with a strong background in a variety of computer software programs (including Microsoft suite, Adobe).
  • Demonstrated capability in the design, development, planning and/or delivery of training programs and systems
  • Knowledge and experience with an LMS and computer-based training (CBT) programs is an asset
