Reporting to a Superintendent of Operations, the Process Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of their production unit during the shift.  Process Operator is to work in collaboration with the other operations teams and maintenance staff to safely prepare and recommission equipment.

What You'll Do:

  • Monitoring and operating equipment and associated systems within standard operating conditions and limits.
  • Support safety, environmental, reliability and continuous improvement programs.
  • Trouble shoot operational issues within the unit.
  • Complete Laboratory testing as required.
  • Isolate and prepare equipment for maintenance work.
  • Start-up and shutdown the units as required.
  • Maintain plant integrity – housekeeping, safety checks, routine maintenance.
  • Complete all requirements in the Progression System.

What You'll Bring:

  • High School Diploma, Diploma in Power Engineering Technology preferred.
  • Minimum 4th class ABSA Steam Ticket Required, preferred 3rd Class ABSA Steam Ticket.
  • Previous Industrial Experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment.
  • Exhibit strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Competent listening skills as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Display a safe and productive work ethic.
  • Ability to read and understand complex instructions.
  • Basic computer skills required.
