STATIC MAINTENANCE PLANNER
Geismar, LA
What you will do:
Primary Purpose:
Responsible for the planning, estimating, scheduling, and coordinating Static Equipment maintenance work orders. Ensure all jobs are planned and include Process Safety Management (PSM) and safety standards.
- Review Requests for Work
- Estimate the material required.
- Develop Weekly Schedule – Ensuring that all resources are available
- Track open work backlogs.
- Track status of work order to completion/closure
- Maintain work plan file by equipment.
- Works with engineering and reliability departments as required to ensure technically sound job plans.
- Work with QC dept. to ensure correct welding, flange make-up, insulation, and paint QC documentation applied to job plans.
- Assemble job boxes with parts, special tools, and work instructions.
- Develop and update standard job plans (Asset Activities) for repeat routine jobs.
- Develop project plans for large jobs and coordinate implementation with multiple contractor companies.
- Prepare Isometric drawing’s, diagrams, and other sketches to communicate needs of the job.
- Works off-hour as plant needs dictate.
- All other duties as assigned.
What you will bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree in industrial technology preferred.
- Degreed: Minimum of 3-5 years in Industrial Maintenance Planning in a chemical manufacturing operation or extensive related field experience.
- Non-Degreed: Minimum of 10 years Maintenance Planning and/or Maintenance Supervisory Experience along with at least 3 years planning experience.
- Possess knowledge of production systems and static equipment.
- Knowledge in pipe fitting and welding craft skills.
- Ability to Formulate/Read Sketches, Drawings, and Specifications.
- Understanding of the Maintenance Function within the Organization.
- Broad Working Knowledge of Technology and ASME and API Codes/Standards.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company standards and its insurers.
- Ability to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) as issued by TSA (Transportation Security Administration).
- Ability to effectively communicate, orally (face to face and by telephone) and in writing, in English with coworkers, contractors, government officials and Senior Management.
- Ability to read and understand written material (in English), including use and understanding of basic numerical calculations, safety rules and operations instructional guides and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to accept direction and work effectively & cooperatively with other people.
- Must have basic math skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing to work in protected areas at heights.
- Must be able to reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Must be able to hear and smell for deficiencies or hazards.
