Discover more about potash at Nutrien! An exciting Co-op opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Lanigan Potash site beginning January 2026 for an 8-month term. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work. This student will report to the Chief Mine Maintenance Engineer.

 

What you will do:

  • Assist with a variety of electrical engineering tasks.
  • Support ongoing and new engineering studies, existing asset inspection/condition reporting, drawing updates, and document control.
  • Design work and project management are potential opportunities depending on the aptitude of the candidate.

 

What you will bring:

  • Completed a minimum of two years in an Electrical and/or Computer Engineering (or equivalent) program.
  • Experience working in a mining or industrial environment is preferred.
  • Superior interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills are essential.
  • Positive safety behavior and safety leadership.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training.
