Discover more about potash at Nutrien! An exciting Summer Intern opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Lanigan Potash site beginning May 2025 for a 4-month term. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work. This student will report to the Chief Mine Maintenance Engineer.
What you will do:
- Assist with a variety of electrical engineering tasks
- Support ongoing and new engineering studies, existing asset inspection/condition reporting, drawing updates, and document control
- Design work and project management are potential opportunities depending on the aptitude of the candidate
What you will bring:
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate electrical engineering program (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term
- Experience working in a mining/heavy industrial environment in preferred
- Demonstrate positive safety behaviour and safety leadership
- Superior interpersonal teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training
- 3D CAD skills, especially in Inventor would be considered an asset but not required
