Surveyor or Mine/Civil Technologist

This position reports to the Mine Technician Supervisor. This position is located in Lanigan, Saskatchewan, Canada and is not available for remote work.
What you will do:
- Work safely in an industrial environment and able to follow the procedures and policies that are in place
- Report any unusual conditions, hazards or defects
- Use and care for all Mine Technician equipment
- Responsible for borer alignment and measuring progress
- Take samples of ore and brine
- Familiar with ore body (geology and mark up)
- Assist in taking rock mechanics measurements
- Maintain appropriate housekeeping and keep tools in a good state of repair
What you will bring:
- Technical school graduate from a recognized Mine, Civil, Geomatics Technologist course, or other relevant surveying course including Environmental Technologist course
- Positive safety behavior and safety leadership
- Ability to work in a neat, precise manner
- Ability to interact positively with co-workers and supervisors
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment and independently
- Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience of the operations of all survey related functions
- Ability to drive or willing to learn the operations of standard underground equipment
