What You'll Do:
- Coordinate the shipping and delivery of products, including raw materials and finished goods.
- Select appropriate transportation methods and carriers based on cost, efficiency, and reliability.
- Track shipments to monitor their progress and ensure timely delivery. Responsible for the creation and execution of all documents required for each transaction, shipment, clearance process and/or coordinate with vendors, internal departments and customers to ensure timely completion of documentation.
- Manage and monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
- Implement inventory management practices to optimize stock levels and improve turnover rates
- Work closely with suppliers, customers, and internal teams (e.g., procurement, sales, production) to coordinate logistics activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs and import/export laws.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all logistics activities, such as shipment details, invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Use logistics and supply chain management software to plan, track, and optimize logistics operations.
- Analyze data to identify trends, assess performance, and make informed decisions.
- Addresses logistical challenges such as delays, damaged goods, and inventory discrepancies.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree: relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics management.
- A strong knowledge of IT-based logistics and dispatch systems used to manage day-to-day logistics and report on efficiency gains.
- Experience with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, is an asset.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on ensuring the integrity of shipment data and documentation.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing issues and finding solutions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
