Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, Proprietary Products, the Analyst, Finance, Proprietary Products Manufacturing & Innovation will partner in the development and evaluation of consolidated annual, quarterly, and monthly plans & forecasts for Nutrien's Proprietary Manufacturing Operations & Innovation businesses. At Nutrien, we are continually striving to provide data driven financial analytics to inform business decisions.

 

What you will do:
 

  • Finance partner for Proprietary Products Manufacturing & Innovation (Seed, Chemistry and Fertilizer)
  • Track and maintain reporting of headcount and financial results while providing business guidance and direction to our partner groups
  • Provide accurate, timely and reliable financial reports
  • Partner with inventory and cost accounting teams to provide key insights into cost analysis and other relevant financial metrics used to drive business results and efficiencies
  • Provide monthly analysis, commentaries, and financial packages to our partners groups as well as the Finance department
  • Support finance reporting and analytics, business case development and business performance review and reporting
  • Manage, perform, and monitor complex business modeling and return calculations related to investment and capital spend opportunities and projects
  • Work directly with partner group leadership to develop reporting metrics and KPIs
  • Prepare and publish financial analysis, dashboards and KPI metrics to effectively monitor the financial performance and returns of the partnered groups
  • Create and implement financial reporting, dashboards and KPIs to track the partner groups financial progress
  • Assist the partner group leadership in analyzing their business to improve operating and financial performance
  • Provide cost analysis and reporting for various projects
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, strategic plans, quarterly presentation, forecasts and monthly business narratives
  • Aggregate data to extract complex financial outputs in a manner that is understandable and actionable by management
  • Ensure compliance with controls, requirements, policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain desktop procedures and process documentation for area of responsibility
  • Respond to special requests for accounting and financial information internally and externally
  • Communicate company and functional goals, core values, safety practices, and deadlines to team

What you will bring:
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience
  • Commitment to safety and integrity
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated time management skills and ability to engage and prioritize when involved with multiple initiatives and changing priorities
  • Ability to proactively collaborate across finance and operations groups to achieve cross functional success
  • Interest in and ability to learn and understand business and system processes
  • Self-motivated
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, primarily Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to perform effectively in a changing environment

 

Compensation & Benefits: 
 

Salary Range $79,100 - $146,800/annually. This range is estimated for Analyst, Finance, Proprietary Products in Loveland, Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process.
