What you will do:
- Care for the Total Cost of Ownership for specific sub-category of spend, while working in concert with an overall Category Manager and the Director of Category. This requires leadership of commercial levers, identifying and coordinating operational implementation of technical levers, and ensuring the highest rigor in process lever.
- Create and manage strategic plans by subcategory, including strategic supplier management
- Review with Operations counterparts and Category Manager the activity planning and impact on contractual plans, category strategies and budgets within specific sub-category.
- Provide market intelligence – helping client groups stay abreast of new technologies in Nitrogen and Phosphate production.
- Own the sourcing tactical plans for sub-category including preparing for and launching best in class tenders, preparing for and conducting negotiations, etc.
- Develop new suppliers as appropriate and facilitate contracting within the sub-category.
- Work with Category Manager and operations stakeholders to nest sub-category strategy within broader category strategy.
What you will bring:
- Undergraduate degree in business, engineering or related field. Master's degree would be considered an asset.
- Experience in contract formation and management at the corporate level with procurement experience in industrial, corporate and project environments.
- 2+ years of professional experience as analyst or in executing sourcing strategies in organizations with external spend greater than $1B USD.
- Worked through the 5 or 7 step sourcing process.
- Experience working as an analyst, and preferably within category management in operations of similar complexity (i.e., multi-country, multi-region and/or multi-operations organizations).
- Excellent relationship building skills to cultivate partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with project, plan, and budget oversight.
- Desire for experience leading organizational change and transformation processes.
Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this role, in Loveland, CO, is between $87,000 - $149,100. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
