The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for administering benefits programs for all Nutrien employees in the U.S. and Canada. This role provides next-level support for complex inquiries and ensures compliance with policies, processes, and regulatory requirements. The Benefits Coordinator collaborates closely with the HR Solution Center (HRSC), Benefits Center of Excellence, Payroll, HR Business Partners, and third-party vendors.

What you will do:
- Administer health and welfare benefits programs in compliance with U.S. and Canadian regulations while ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
- Support employees by addressing benefits-related inquiries and resolving issues with vendors.
- Stay informed on U.S. and Canadian benefits legislation to guide administrative decisions and maintain compliance.
- Provide expertise and support on policies, processes, and regulatory matters related to benefits administration.
- Conduct audits to maintain data accuracy and integrity, ensuring error-free HR information and reporting.
- Maintain up-to-date process and training documentation and train team members as needed. Collaborate with the Benefits Center of Excellence to ensure accurate administration of new programs and processes.
- Deliver high-quality customer service to employees across the organization, providing clear and effective HR-related guidance.
- Cross-train in additional HRSC functions, including leave management and retirement/pension administration, to enhance knowledge and support capabilities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, process documentation updates, and optimization of HRSC operations.
- Ensure all work is effectively managed through company systems, adapting to new technologies as needed.
- Protect employee privacy by maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Process pay-, time- and/or benefit premium-related changes as needed, ensuring biweekly payroll deadlines are met.
- Support HRSC Employee Support Team by providing training and guidance on benefits-related inquiries.
- Participate in special projects, testing, compliance audits, and other ad-hoc assignments as required.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/certification in Human Resources, Benefits Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in health and welfare benefits administration, preferably in a large, multi-state/province organization.
- Strong understanding of U.S. and Canada HR data, business rules, and legislative requirements.
- Knowledge of Canadian health and welfare regulatory requirements (U.S. benefits knowledge is a plus).
- Experience with Canadian retirement plans and related regulations preferred (U.S. benefits knowledge is a plus).
- Ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to resolve employee inquiries effectively via phone and email.
- Experience analyzing and resolving HR system interface file errors and complex benefit issues.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high accuracy in data processing and benefits administration.
- High attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and intermediate technical skills.
- Experience in an HR shared services environment and familiarity with Case Resolution Systems is an asset.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Solution-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and team members.
- Commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.
- Flexibility to work overtime or weekends during peak activity periods or to meet payroll deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced office environment, including working effectively in an open floor plan setting.
- SAP experience is preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range $53,900 - $100,100/annually. This range is estimated for Coordinator, Benefits - CO in Loveland, Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
