Reporting to the Sr Environmental Management Manager [NAS-POC] this position provides support to the Retail Operating Segment on behalf of the Environmental Operations Team with the execution of global environmental programs, as well as advising on and assisting with the completion of individual projects, permitting, reporting, and regulatory issues.
What you do:
- Provide technical expertise and direction in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of Nutrien’s environmental matters across the Retail Operating Segment
- Strategy – Contribute to and implement Environmental Management strategy and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Execution - Provide hands-on technical expertise to internal stakeholders in support of environmental compliance issues and best practices
- Regulatory - Provide guidance on existing regulations and new regulatory developments
- Compliance – Support with acquisition of environmental permits and meeting regulatory requirements. Participate in the environmental audit and check-in processes
- Commitment –Steward to Nutrien’s ‘Culture of Care. Develop and support projects that contribute to making Nutrien a strong steward of the environment.
- Relationships - Develop and foster strong relationships built on trust with internal groups, contractors, and federal, state, and local agency representatives to ensure the continued effectiveness of company environmental programs. Promote collaboration between the SHE team and the Retail Operating Segment
- Budgeting and Finance – Ensure team and project budget goals are met, and technically support Business Unit environmental liabilities

What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in either Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Geology, Hydrology or Chemistry
- 7+ years professional experience
- Strong knowledge of local, state / provincial, and federal environmental laws and regulations. Strong technical expertise in environmental compliance and experience working with agency representatives
- Excellent working knowledge of environmental regulations and regulatory landscape and strong foundation in environmental engineering, environmental sciences, or similar discipline (advanced qualifications in one of the above preferred)
Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this role, in Colorado, is between $105,300 - $150,400. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
