Reporting to the Manager, Retail SC Finance, NA Retail Rebate Operations, the Analyst, Rebates FP&A Business Partner will be responsible for supporting Strategic Supplier teams by managing rebate program entries in Vistex, monitoring program performance, forecasting rebate recognition, and analyzing overall supplier profitability for the downstream business. This role will also support the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for rebates, ensuring alignment with Nutrien's Global Retail business unit.

 

In addition to core responsibilities, the Analyst will play a key role in driving process improvements and enhancing decision support through timely and insightful management reporting. This position will also provide financial planning, analytical guidance, and strategic partnership to key stakeholders across the Retail business unit. 

 

What you will do:

  • Lead monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting, and strategic annual budgeting activities.
  • Develop and maintain analytical models to deliver actionable insights on supplier profitability and rebate performance.
  • Manage rebate programs in Segmentation/Vistex, including setup, maintenance, and product-level impact analysis.
  • Ensure accurate data setup and integration across ERP, and rebate accrual systems.
  • Support supplier contract lifecycle through financial analysis, negotiation input, implementation tracking, and redemption oversight.
  • Serve as liaison between Vistex consultants and internal teams to ensure business requirements are clearly defined and delivered.
  • Conduct financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, and business case evaluations to support strategic decisions and new business initiatives.
  • Present financial analyses quantifying P&L impact and communicate key findings to stakeholders.
  • Recommend and implement automated solutions to enhance regular business activities to ensure efficiency within tasks.
  • Align with strategic supplier managers on new or changes in reporting requirements to deliver accurate analytical and performance rebate program metrics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Strategic Supplier Managers, FP&A, and other key stakeholders, working independently as needed.

 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in data sciences, finance, or economics. MBA a plus. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 
  • 3+ years of related experience required, preferably in Finance or Business Analysis.
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in your work.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Understanding of business forecasting and analytics is required, with prior experience in vendor rebate analytics as a strong differentiator.
  • Ideal candidate would have experience with FP&A, SAP, Vistex, reporting, analytics, and Excel modeling; however, candidates who offer a combination of several of these qualifications will be considered.
  • Curiosity to find ways to create efficiencies to improve processes over time
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative & problem solving.
  • Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

The salary range for this role, in Loveland, CO, is between $79,100 - $135,500. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process.
