This position reports to the Director, Retail, Proprietary Products Accounting and is located in Loveland, CO.
We are open to considering candidates with less leadership experience and hiring as a Senior Supervisor, providing the opportunity to enhance and further develop leadership skills.
What you will do:
- Responsible for completion, direction and oversight of proprietary products cost and inventory accounting.
- Provide leadership to a team including coaching, mentoring, goal setting and review, performance management, recruitment, and team building.
- Ensure the team executes accounting department plan by prioritizing work, projects, and resources.
- Provide strategic vision and leadership on technology initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on key accounting issues, processes and developing relationships internally and externally.
- Influence change, process improvement and adherence to accounting policies and procedures with internal stakeholders.
- Conduct complex accounting and analysis related to manufacturing, costing and inventory.
- Ensure inventory counts are conducted regularly and in adherence with Nutrien policy.
- Ensure product costs and each step of the manufacturing process are tracked, allocated and accounted for properly.
- Provide business partners with reporting and analytics.
- Responsible for the monthly review of account reconciliations and support month-end and year-end close process; ensuring their alignment with GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Challenge the status quo and think outside the box to improve current processes.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
What you will bring:
- BA/BS in Accounting/Finance. Professional accounting designation and/or advanced degree preferred.
- 6+ years of practical experience plus demonstrated leadership experience.
- Operational, Manufacturing or Nutrien accounting experience.
- Collaborative and influential mindset combined with an absolute commitment to the achievement of deadlines.
- Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Leadership skills: people leader who can supervise, guide, support, direct and develop a team of professionals.
- Energetic, flexible, and proactive; a team leader who positively and productively impacts both strategic and tactical initiatives.
- Knowledge and experience in agriculture and retail markets.
- SAP S4 knowledge and experience.
- Strong integrity and business ethics.
- Advanced analytical, verbal, and written skills.
- Willing to travel occasionally.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range $87,000 - $161,500 annually. This range is estimated for Manager, Retail, Proprietary Products Accounting role in Loveland, Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
