This position reports to the Director, Process and Planning.

 

What you will do:

  • Actively develop and maintain superior customer relationships with customers at multiple levels of the organization by understanding their needs and providing solutions. 
  • Collect, analyze, and cleanse sales data for accuracy with the focus of identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for the sales organization.
  • Develop market analytics for yearly sales plan preparation and monthly forecasting adjustments, as well as longer-term strategic initiatives.
  • Track and measure key sales metrics and performance to plan, alongside maintaining historical sales records for review and comparison. 
  • Create and develop scalable reports to show market trends and sales performance for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Monthly reports comparing actual and forecast variances by volume and margin, performance against strategic initiatives, netback and optimization dashboards.
  • Develop and enhance the systems and processes required to review and deliver actionable on-demand intelligence to the NPP sales team.
    • Ensure that Nutrien is optimizing all its resources to provide the best solution to our customer and optimizing our margin and net back opportunities.
  • Work with internal stakeholders like TD&L, Customer Experience, Marketing, Operations, Regulatory, Legal, and Product Stewardship for successful execution for the NPP sales strategy.
  • Travel to other Nutrien offices to attend internal, industry wide and customer meetings.

 

What you will bring:

  • 3 plus years of work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance or Supply Chain preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to problem-solve.
  • Excellent communication skills to work closely with both internal (International Customer Experience, Commercial, Plant Operations, and TD&L teams) and external (Customers and vessel brokers) stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented and data-driven.
  • Detail oriented and should have a disciplined approach to coordinating, managing, and monitoring tasks.
  • Prior experience in commercial roles such as, international customer service, supply chain, or business analyst.

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

The salary range for this role, in Loveland, CO, is between $65,300 - $111,900 and in Deerfield, IL, is between $62,200 - 106,600. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process.
