Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Retirement and Benefits, this role will provide strategic leadership for the global retirement programs including defined contribution, savings and pension plans. This role requires deep retirement program design expertise by applying professional judgement, knowledge experience and a broad perspective.  Responsibilities include vendor management, compliance, project management, strategic planning and communication. You will develop and implement strategies to enhance retirement benefits, improve employee engagement, develop financial wellbeing initiatives in support of the company’s attraction and retention goals. 



What you will do:
 

  • Lead the retirement program strategy and approach for financial well-being, supporting the business in the assessment of needs, the development of solutions and provide counsel and advice.
  • Ensure retirement programs are developed to be aligned with our culture are cost effective, sustainable, market relevant and meet the needs of our diverse employee demographic.
  • Develop and maintain the strategic vendor relationships in partnership with Procurement and Benefits Team, conducting RFPs, support contracting process, and managing costs.
  • Financial oversight through monitoring the financial performance of retirement plans, to include budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
  • Build collaborative relationships and provide consultative advice to leadership and HR business partners on strategy.
  • Keep current on regulations and new legislation; ensuring programs are legally-compliant.
  • Improve employee understanding of programs by developing appropriate communication strategies and materials.
  • Enhance the employee experience by managing the engagement of internal and external service partners to ensure a high level of employee experience.
  • Deliver effective management reporting and documentation that meets governance best practices and highlights trends.
  • People management accountability.
  • Develop employee communications, provide support for retirement plan briefings to Leadership/Executive teams and Pension Committees.
  • Develop retirement plan design solutions in support of union negotiations.
  • Recognize and address country-wide implications of programs and initiatives.
  • Identify areas for program improvement such as simplification of the policy, enhancements and harmonization.
  • Develop relationships with benefits industry professionals and/or organizations to maintain current market trends and knowledge for internal use.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, valuations, and quarterly updates, with comprehensive data, insights, and recommendations.
  • Manage and oversee required audits, filings and other compliance activities.
  • Merger & Acquisition Collaboration – partners with the greater Total Rewards team to consult on US Retirement Plan issues, advocates for our benefits philosophy, and negotiates optimal solutions.

 

What you will bring:

 

  • University degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in benefits management, with a focus on retirement plans; experience in global, multinational company is highly desirable.
  • 2+ years supervisory experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of benefits experience with focus in US retirement.
  • Experience in finance, actuary, human resources, treasury, accounting, or risk management considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical and risk analysis skills.
  • Strong PowerPoint and executive presentation skills and ability to create presentations for leadership.
  • Ability to learn new concepts and techniques quickly in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work various hours in a global environment or to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional financial and business acumen skills; in-depth business and industry knowledge.
  • Advanced knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment as it relates to US retirement programs, including emerging legislation.
  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, including goal setting, conflict resolution, performance management, budget planning, problem solving, and evaluation.
  • Excellent project management and process development skills.
  • Superior quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including competency in financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to apply management core competencies in working with both internal clients and external partnerships.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and interpret needs into workable programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while staying within the scope of the overall strategy.

 

 

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range $115,900 - $215,200/annually. This range is estimated for Senior Manager, Global Retirement - CO in Loveland, Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location. 
 

We provide an attractive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, and life insurance and well as disability coverage for positions working more than 30 hours per week. In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process.
