Reporting to the Senior Director, Retail Finance, Global Supply Chain Management, Proprietary Products, Seed & Sustainability.

 

What you will do:

  • Identify opportunities for increased profitability within proprietary product & marketing activities including pricing & cost analysis, supplier programs (costing, rebates) and pre-M&A analysis
  • Identify opportunities for increased efficiency within core Selling, General, and Administrative functions and provide decision support for all major initiatives; communicate clear direction and objectives to key managers for achieving subsequent goals
  • Analyze costs, pricing, sales results and actual performance compared to business plans for responsible areas and prepare appropriate business narrative
  • Facilitate risk management process and mitigation activity through appropriate trend analysis and impact modelling on company business operations, initiatives, projects, strategic goals and objectives
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, strategic plans, quarterly presentations, forecasts and monthly business narratives
  • Monitor the effectiveness of improvement processes implemented
  • Assist with building and analyzing discounted cash flow models where applicable
  • Contribute to the 5-year strategic planning process and related analysis and assist with proprietary submissions to Retail FP&A
  • Aggregate data to extract complex financial outputs in a manner that is understandable and actionable by management
  • Keep abreast of current trends and practices in the industry and field of expertise
  • Provide accurate, timely and reliable financial reports
  • Track and report financial results while providing business guidance and direction to our partner groups
  • Provide monthly analysis, commentaries, and financial packages to our partners groups as well as the Finance department
  • Prepare and publish ad hoc financial analysis, dashboards and KPI metrics to effectively monitor the financial performance and returns of the partnered groups
  • Perform cost analysis and reporting on various projects
  • Perform complex business modeling and return calculations related to investment and capital spend opportunities and projects
  • Work directly with partner group leadership to identify reporting metrics and KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with controls, requirements, policies and procedures
  • Provide decision support for proprietary products, including LPI, Actagro, and Agricen
  • Liaison with HR on managing headcount

  

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution
  • Professional designation would be considered an asset
  • Minimum of 6-8 years progressive experience in Finance / Accounting
  • Demonstrated leadership skills would be an asset
  • Demonstrated analytical skills are required
  • Familiarity with seed business and related accounting preferred
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Self-Motivated
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent integrity and business ethics
  • Ability to lead by example and work well with others

Compensation & Benefits:

 

Salary Range: $74,000 - $101,750 USD. This range is estimated for the Sr Financial Analyst, Proprietary Products & Retail SG&A position in Loveland, CO. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our plan(s), which provide discretionary award opportunities reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process.
