Reporting to the VP, Retail Finance, you will oversee the development and evaluation of the Retail consolidated annual budget and quarterly forecasts and support long range strategic plans for Nutrien’s Global Retail operating segment. This role will be accountable for leading initiatives to improve processes and drive faster, insightful decision support and management reporting. In addition, this role will provide financial planning and analytic guidance and partnership to key stakeholders within the Retail operating segment.
Our vision as a Financial Planning and Analysis organization is to be the "insights engine" of Nutrien Ag Solutions; this means closely partnering with commercial operating segment leadership to provide data driven financial analysis and insight to guide forecasting, capital allocation and decision making. We are looking for a candidate who is an effective leader, innovative, and able to adopt emerging data technology tools to elevate FP&A processes and capture efficiencies.
What you will do:
- Own the global consolidated Retail budgeting and forecasting processes, including the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and monthly outlook as well as support of the strategic 5-year plan
- Engage with key stakeholders to understand, evaluate, and report on salient trends to leadership. Key stakeholders include: US and international business leaders, various Corporate and Retail finance functions, Functional department leads, and the Ag Solutions Leadership Team
- Oversee the setting of corporate financial targets and key performance indicators, as well as quarterly performance evaluation
- Provide data-driven management reporting and commentary analysis through collaboration of key business stakeholders including external reporting and investor relations in addition to those mentioned above
- Responsible for planning and forecasting North America balance sheet along with other SG&A and management departments
- Provide continuous, day-to-day partnerships and support to our Agronomy and Marketing functions in executing the business and facilitating decision-useful management reporting, insights and analytics
- Lead process initiatives to improve financial metrics including cost management initiatives
- As a leader, foster positive engagement through clarity, experience, impact, and recognition
- Communicate and deliver key messages to executive and senior leadership teams, Board of Directors and other business leaders
- Collaborate and reach alignment with peers and business partners across the Retail organization
- Lead a high-performing team, aligned with the strategic priorities, company core values, and functional goals of the business
- Provide effective support and feedback to team members, while also facilitating performance development through setting team goals, evaluating progress, and identifying areas for training or skill development
What you will bring:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
- 10+ years of related accounting or financial experience, with at least 5 years of managerial experience, preferably in a large multi-national company
- Previous experience working on large, highly complex projects with significant business impact
- Experience using business analytics to problem solve data-driven questions
- Excellent financial systems acumen and information technology mindset
- Ability to work and collaborate cross-functionally, balancing the requirements of the Corporate office and Retail operating segment
- Excellent communication, critical thinking and organizational skills with a high attention to detail
- The ability to develop relationships and interface with various levels of administration in a multi-task, deadline orientated, team environment
- Thorough organizational skills with the ability to prioritize concurrent projects and deliverables
- Exceptional guidance and interpersonal skills that facilitate a positive team environment
- Deep understanding of the Retail Ag industry business drivers and operating activities considered an asset
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range $127,500 - $236,800/annually. This range is estimated for Sr Mgr, Global Retail FP&A in Loveland, Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
