Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Applications this role is responsible for shaping strategy, delivering large-scale projects, and leading teams providing long term support for Nutrien’s industrial information systems. This role will lead technical experts, delivery teams, and support teams to ensure stable, maintainable, and innovative solutions meet Nutrien’s business needs.
What you will do:
- Partner with leaders across Nutrien to understand business challenges, identify technology solutions to meet their needs, and develop both short and long-term strategies and technology roadmaps.
- Lead a portfolio of projects and cross-functional teams to deliver meaningful business outcomes.
- Collaborate with delivery and sustainment teams to address business requirements with innovative, sustainable, and architecturally resilient solutions.
- Oversee sustainment activities and manage teams responsible for a large portfolio of enterprise applications across Nutrien.
- Ensure live applications meet service level agreements (SLAs) and are consistently available for critical business functions.
- Drive innovation and the development of new technologies to enhance Nutrien’s technical and business operations.
- Recruit, train, develop, mentor, lead, and retain a high-performing team of internal and external resources.
- Support key technology platforms and design architectures that serve teams and business units (e.g., Core Operations Platform).
- Travel as required for project needs, with an average of 15% travel expected, primarily within North America.
What you will bring:
- 15 or more years of technology leadership delivering solutions in a large-scale, heterogeneous IT environment.
- Undergraduate degree or diploma from a recognized university or technical school in Computer Science, Business or another related field.
- Technical experience in multiple domains, understanding how technology is used across business functions to deliver business value.
- Experience identifying and delivering new technologies.
- Experience in managing vendors, partners, suppliers and technical teams, including off-shore delivery.
- Strong communication skills, demonstrated at various levels of the organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and team-development skills with a positive attitude and ability to establish relationships throughout other parts of the organization.
- Experience in stakeholder management & major projects, with demonstrated ability to build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience communicating with key stakeholders at senior levels of the organization.
- Adaptable, courageous, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced and self-directed environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this role, in Loveland, CO, is between $127,500 - $218,600. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
