In this role you’ll be reporting directly to the Sr. Manager, Data Services, working closely with the extended data services team, domain subject matter experts across multiple business areas, and external experts. You will be responsible for delivering innovative data-centric solutions to complex and ambitious problems as well as serving as the “go to person” for more junior analysts in our team. 

 

What you will do:

  • Design and develop solutions that unlock the potential of data distributed across a complex information landscape.
  • Translate business needs (known and anticipated) into long-term solutions.
  • Coordinate and assist with solution testing.
  • Turn high-level objectives and priorities into working plans and task lists and execute them.
  • Develop training materials.
  • Deliver training and ongoing onboarding support.
  • Mentor others on the team and in similar roles throughout the department. 

 

What you will bring:

  •  Post-secondary degree education at university level at a minimum.
  •  Business domain experience.
  • 6-8 years of combined experience delivering solutions and hands-on data roles in a large-scale, heterogeneous IT environment.
  • Demonstrated aptitude to translate requirements into innovative solutions.
  • Technical experience in multiple technology domains and understanding of how that technology is used across multiple business functions, in multiple industries, to deliver business value.
  • Prior work experience working with technologies like SAP HANA, other databases, Oracle EBS, and SAP.
  • Understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and previous experience in DW environments.
  • Ability to identify implicit requirements of an overall solution ecosystem including support, monitoring, maintenance, etc.
  • Demonstrated capacity for delivering results with diverse stakeholder groups.      
  • Business Analysis: You know the questions to ask to get to the heart of the matter.  You leverage your relationships with multiple business areas and IT to develop compelling data solutions.
  • Problem Solving: You don’t stop until the problem gets solved, no matter how complex, and you find more than one way to solve it. You don’t just test that it doesn’t break, you test until it doesn’t break.  You love working with other people, presenting your viewpoint but ultimately working towards the best, most sustainable solution. You enjoy working on solutions that will be here for the long term and have a transformational impact on the organization.
  • Technical: You love technology and seeing it applied to solve real problems.  In particular, you have a passion for technologies that improve visibility to data like Microsoft Power BI, Analysis for Office, Tableau, or Excel and you’re not afraid to write some SQL code to crunch numbers if needed.  You are comfortable with translating business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Communication: You are a strong communicator, whether it is written, verbal, or presenting ideas. You also enjoy collaborating with people on different teams and continue to maintain high levels of visibility, efficiency, and collaboration. You possess tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to help build enterprise alignment on optimal data management and analytics practices at Nutrien. You are not afraid to provide guidance to mentees, peers, and leaders when appropriate.

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

 

$106,800 - $146,850. This range is estimated for Sr. Data Solutions Analyst, Retailin Loveland, CO. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.  

 

We provide an attractive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, and life insurance and well as disability coverage for positions working more than 30 hours per week. In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, discretionary, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process.
