This position is remote. If you are located within 50-miles of one of our corporate offices, you will be required to be in-office 5-days per week.

Reporting to the Regulatory Manager - Crop Nutrition, the State Regulatory Specialist – Crop Nutrition will lead and support all aspects of state registrations for crop nutrition, biostimulants, soil amendments, and inoculants products. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of state-specific regulatory requirements and processes, particularly in states like California, Washington, and Oregon. The specialist will develop and maintain strong working relationships with state authorities and ensure compliance with all regulatory updates.
This position will be posted from December 2, 2024 - December 16, 2024.
What you will do:
- Oversee state registrations for Nutrien’s crop nutrition portfolio, ensuring compliance with state-specific requirements.
- Participate in label reviews and ensure correct label versions are registered with the states.
- Stay updated on state-specific regulatory changes, assess their impact on company products, and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with state regulatory authorities, acting as the primary contact for state registration matters.
- Maintain a database of all state registrations, including renewal dates and submission deadlines.
- Manage and ensure timely submissions for state registration renewals and new registrations.
- Keep accurate product information and registration statuses updated in systems like Agrian and CDMS.
- Manage state inquiries regarding product registrations, label updates, and other regulatory matters.
- Work with internal teams such as Regulatory Affairs, Product Development, Legal, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing to ensure alignment and timely completion of registration activities. Participate in product and formulation launch teams as needed.
- Stay informed about industry trends, attend relevant training sessions, and share knowledge to enhance regulatory expertise within the team.
- Lead and perform work in line with Nutrien’s corporate policies, programs, practices, and SH&E regulations.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a related scientific discipline preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in regulatory affairs within the agricultural input industry (fertilizer, adjuvants, or crop protection).
- Strong understanding of USA state-specific submission requirements.
- Collaborative and able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, regulatory software, and databases.
- Willingness to learn, teach, and share information with teammates and management.
Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range $59,300 - $110,200/annually (United States) or $75,200 - $139,500/annually (Canada). These ranges are estimated for a State Regulatory Specialist - Crop Nutrition in the United States or Canada. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
