Reporting to the Sr. Manager Talent Acquisition, Retail, the Talent Acquisition Leader position is responsible for collaborating with the Retail operating segment in the organization and the broader HR enterprise to lead, develop, and execute Nutrien’s talent attraction and sourcing strategies. The goal is to source and attract qualified, diverse candidates to fulfill the growing talent needs of Nutrien.

 

In this hands-on leadership role, you will guide a team of recruiters committed to persistently seeking out the best talent and building a robust talent pipeline to meet the demands of Nutrien’s organization. You will partner with business leaders, HR colleagues, and various stakeholders to drive process efficiency and improvement. This includes leveraging technology and best practices to identify and secure top talent for Nutrien both now and in the future.

 

What you will do:

  • Actively support implementation of the organization’s business priorities through delivering top talent to the business
  • Partner with the business and internal HR subject matter experts to provide a flawless recruitment experience for all stakeholders
  • Supervise a team of recruitment professionals and provide data, guidance and coaching on how to maximize efficiency and create consistency across functional talent pools and geographies
  • Lead and participate in key company and/or HR Projects for the organization outside of the day-to-day recruitment operations
  • Assist in providing day to day leadership and scheduling of team resources to meet the emerging recruitment needs across the business
  • Partner, implement and deliver on Strategic Talent Outreach initiatives resulting in extensive, diverse and qualified talent for Nutrien
  • Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders to create core consistency within the screening/selection process by level and operating segment (screening tools, interviews and required assessment tools)
  • Improve the candidate and hiring manager experience by identifying and removing bottlenecks in the hiring process
  • Communicate and strategize with team to meet hiring needs based on employee hiring forecast
  • Deliver candidate and internal stakeholder satisfaction surveys/workshops to ensure all stakeholder needs are met and exceeded throughout the hiring process
  • Assist in managing and adhering to Talent Attraction & Sourcing budget
  • Partner in strategic efforts for career fairs, military recruitment and similar events as required
  • Measure, audit and communicate recruitment performance to various audiences
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives for core process and recruitment brand consistency across Nutrien
  • Create and implement consistent communication mechanism to HR Business Partners and leaders for all open recruitment requirements
  • Train new and existing Talent Attraction & Sourcing Team members on required processes, system usage and maintenance and measure accordingly
  • Maintain an active requisition portfolio

 

What you will bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years in Talent Acquisition, including progressive leadership and project management/process improvement experience (direct supervisory experience preferred).
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources or related discipline preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Thorough recruitment experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of sourcing methods for hard-to-fill roles
  • Experience in search, corporate, field, and manufacturing recruitment environments (agriculture experience  preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of full-cycle recruiting and employer branding techniques - Experience with HRIS, ATS, Sourcing and Recruitment Marketing tools
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to listen effectively
  • Ability to analyze and interpret recruitment data and educate various audiences on techniques and practices to create efficiencies and effectiveness in their recruitment processes
  • Ability to design and implement processes
  • Project management skills put into action to lead small to medium size projects on time and on budget leveraging the appropriate tools and templates
  • Technically oriented with an ability to navigate applicant tracking systems and identify opportunities for efficiencies
  • Proactive and highly results oriented

  • Experience in supporting senior leadership levels (leaders and candidates) through recruitment cycle
  • Experience in delivering successful recruitment strategies that span across more than one location or vertical talent group
  • Ability to travel as required, up to 20%

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

$79,100 to $146,800/annually. This range is estimated for Talent Acquisition Lead in Loveland, CO. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process.
