What You'll Do:

 

  • Advance Nutrien's enterprise-wide compensation strategy by delivering advanced data analytics, actionable insights, and decision-ready tools that support competitive, market-aligned pay
  • Conduct compensation analytics and data visualizations, translating market intelligence into actionable insights to deliver resources that enable Compensation Advisors to provide effective, market-based guidance to HR and business leaders
  • Own annual market survey participation and benchmarking, analyzing large datasets to uncover key insights and trends that drive clear, data-driven recommendations
  • Lead annual competitive market analysis to evaluate Nutrien’s pay competitiveness across salary structures, incentives structures, jobs, geographic structures and pay compression.  Deliver clear findings and actionable insights to senior leadership
  • Develop and implement country level salary structures, as required, to drive market competitiveness and support the Nutrien’s initiative to attract, retain, motivate and engage top talent
  • Continuously, identify and apply improvements for efficiency and effectiveness of the compensation plan design, process, procedures, and systems
  • Build and deliver compensation communication and education efforts through robust content, mediums, and visualizations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in designing and maintaining compensation policies and procedures
  • Administer and lead activities for the annual compensation process, including project management, system readiness, training/communication, guidelines, and merit budget analytics
  • Comply and stay abreast of local/federal compensation requirements and statutes

What You'll Bring:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years progressive compensation experience
  • Deep understanding in all areas of compensation, including market pricing & benchmarking, salary structure development and job architecture
  • Hands-on experience leading market survey participation and competitive analysis
  • Strong data visualization and storytelling skills; ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Ability to translate complex, large data sets into insights, tools and recommendations
  • Excellent analytical and mathematics skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (Power BI / Power Query preferred)
  • Experience with HRIS systems, compensation systems, salary survey platforms
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Exceptional written & verbal communication skills  
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships at all levels
  • Knowledge of relevant Federal, State/Provincial, Local laws/regulations
  • Advanced experience with Power BI, Power Query
  • Experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
  • PayScale experience

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

The salary range for this role located in Chicago, IL is between $82,900 - $130,130. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process.
