The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Maintenance operations at the Marseilles Plant. The Maintenance Supervisor is to make sure that Maintenance goals are achieved consistent with safety, quality, cost and environmental standards.  This position also performs other duties as assigned in production, maintenance, and administration.

 

  What you will do:

•    Maintain storeroom and inventory levels as to assure that plant will not suffer due to the lack of parts or supplies.
•    Maintain plant reliability through work orders and preventative maintenance, this includes Production, Shipping, Office and Maintenance
•    Keep maintenance costs down to a minimum level and stay within the budget
•    Keep the Operations Superintendent informed of issues that arise out in the plant
•    Keep the Maintenance Dept. in compliance with relevant laws
•    Ensure the safety of all employees and that they adhere to all standard operating procedures
•    Issue proper permits for all jobs at the Marseilles Plant such as Hot work / Line break / Lock Tag & Try/High Voltage/Energized Electrical/CONFINED Space/& other
•    Perform weekly, monthly and annual inspections of equipment
•    Promoting Environmental Based Safety Program
•    Responsible for improving your leadership 360 on yearly basis
•    Ability to work under pressure. Must be flexible and willing to change plans if the plant breaks down or is experiencing problems
•    Develop people to assume duties when you are not available
•    Coordinate maintenance work with Production Supervisor(s)
•    Maintain payroll time sheets. Enter employee hours in the SAP payroll program weekly
•    Responsible for scheduling labor projects (turnarounds, etc.)
•    Support the implementation and maintenance of the Animal Food Quality and Safety Management System, as needed

What you will bring:

  • High school diploma or Equivalent, Required
  • Industrial Maintenance or Electrical certification, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant Industrial Maintenance or Electrical work experience 
  • Previous supervisory/leadman experience, preferred
  • Welding certification, preferred
