The Mine Operations Clerk will report directly to the Mine Production General Foreman

What You'll Do:

 

  • Create and maintain weekly overtime schedules 
  • Daily entry and auditing of borer and rehab reports, production data
  • Process vacation requests and keep table of allotment still available
  • Time entry for hourly workforce
  • Time entry for staff workforce
  • Manage work orders – entering, closing, investigating
  • Create and update weekly reports with safety stats, production targets, schedule variance
  • Pick up, sort and distribute daily mail
  • Manage memos to mine department
  • Create and manage shutdown schedule          

What You'll Bring:

 

  • Previous experience (3-5) in an industrial environment as a clerk is preferred, but at a minimum in a fast-paced environment 
  • Capable of going underground to understand operations mining data, processes, work order requests and procurement needs for department
  • Effective employee engagement and conflict management skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of standard office software and ability and willingness to learn site specific software
  • Ability to interact and support hourly workforce and other departments
  • Experience and willingness to aid in moving from paper to digital
  • General knowledge of potash operations would be an asset but not required
  • Knowledge and use of SAP and Oracle EAM business systems would be an asset
