This individual contributor role will collaborate with sales team managers and field sales team members in administratively supporting the bidding process for vegetation management, forestry, and aquatics products.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Respond to various bid submissions (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner, coordinating legal review and approval.
  • Develop and maintain an effective and accurate database system for tracking bid results. Generate informative reports as needed.
  • Provide professional internal customer service, serving as a primary point of contact for a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain bid lifecycle monitoring with consideration for multi-year span including price escalation.
  • Effectively contribute to drafting and editing bid proposals in alignment with company standards and policies.
  • Proofread bids, checking for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and grammatical correctness.
  • Ensure that bids align with client requirements and expectations, presenting visual alignment with the Nutrien brand and identity.
  • Identify and recommend suggestions to address risks, opportunities, and gaps in bid documentation.
  • As directed, request price exceptions and protections from manufacturers.
  • Complete additional tasks and assignments to meet business objectives.

What you will bring:
 

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in proposal development or bid management.
  • Skillful in designing attractive and professional bid documents, using applicable tools and templates.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office products with particular focus on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Maintain understanding of trends and best practices in bid writing.
  • Adept at coordinating numerous processes to deliver desired outcome.
  • Competent in breaking down complex problems/tasks into manageable components.
  • Demonstrate adaptability in a deadline driven environment with competing priorities.
  • Keen attention for details, deadlines, and accuracy.
  • Able to produce written documentation in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
  • Proven capability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external contacts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or Marketing is an asset.
  • Familiarity with SAP software is an asset.
