What You'll Do:

 

  • Operate and monitor production and recovery systems during startup, normal operation, shutdown, and emergency conditions while following established operating procedures.
  • Assist with the safe and efficient operation of the granulation area, supporting production goals and environmental compliance.
  • Perform routine inspections, housekeeping, equipment checks, and general plant support activities to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and communicate equipment or process issues, providing input on repairs and material needs.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures, and actively participate in incident reporting, investigations, and hazard identification.
  • Operate mobile equipment and work around industrial machinery, high-pressure systems, and chemical processing equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by developing new skills, assisting with training, and working collaboratively with team members across the operation.
  • Perform physically demanding work, including climbing ladders and stairs, lifting materials, working at heights, and working in varying weather and plant conditions.
  • Assist in all areas of the department as needed and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment.

What You'll Bring:

Required

  • Valid driver's license, required. 

Preferred

  • Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule. 
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong employment stability with a dependable work record
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb stairs and ladders, and work at elevated heights.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with company safety standards and applicable regulations.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, mining, industrial, construction, or other hands-on environments.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate mobile equipment, including front-end loaders and other heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while supporting continuous improvement efforts.
  • Experience in manufacturing, mining, construction, heavy equipment operation, or other industrial environments. Candidates with experience performing outdoor physical labor, working around industrial equipment, and following strict safety procedures are preferred.


Testing Requirements for Hourly Applicants

  • All hourly applicants must complete the Florida Ready to Work or the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) assessment. A minimum score of 3 in Math, 3 in Reading, and 3 in Data is required to be considered eligible for employment with Nutrien.
  • Applicants must also complete the Florida Ready to Work Soft Skills Assessment and achieve a “Passed” status.
  • Both certificates (Florida Ready to Work or NCRC and Soft Skills) must be uploaded along with your resume when submitting your application.
    • These assessments are offered at no cost at any CareerSource office.
