Discover more about potash at Nutrien! An exciting co-op opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Patience Lake Mine (10 minutes from Saskatoon) beginning May 2025 for an 16-month term. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work.

What you will do:

Assist the Capital Projects department with various duties, including:

• Select project scope definition, stakeholder reviews, tender document creation and execution of projects
• One-off component design and analysis for mill equipment upgrades
• In field task support, troubleshooting, and progress monitoring of contractors

What you will bring:

• Must be currently enrolled and completed at least 3 years of an undergraduate Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Environmental or Geological/Mining Engineering program (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term.
• Demonstrated positive safety behaviour and safety leadership
• Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training
• Excellent interpersonal teamwork and communication skills
• Motivation to set and achieve goals, take initiative, and nurture projects forward
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
• Alignment with Nutrien’s purpose and values 
• Preference will be given to candidates with mining or heavy industrial experience
