In Trinidad & Tobago, we operate one of the world's largest nitrogen complexes with 4 ammonia plants and 1 urea plant on 165 acres of Trinidad's sheltered west coast.  

 

 

What you will do:

  • Conduct regular analysis of MRO inventory levels, usage patterns, and replenishment requirements to optimize stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Develop and maintain inventory forecasting models to predict demand for MRO materials based on historical data, upcoming maintenance schedules, and production plans.
  • Provide recommendations for optimizing minimum/maximum levels based on modelling.
  • Coordinate with, Maintenance Technicians, Planners, Engineers, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure the timely availability of necessary parts and supplies.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to forecast inventory needs and coordinate inbound deliveries and logistics to minimize stockouts and excess inventory and improve customer service levels by ensuring the right products are available at the right time.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve inventory management practices and enhance overall operational efficiency and inventory cost profile.
  • Monitor inventory turnover rates, lead times, and service levels to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings and reduce stockouts.
  • Implement inventory control measures such as cycle counting, stock rotation, and reordering triggers to maintain the accuracy and integrity of inventory data.
  • Analyze and resolve inventory discrepancies, investigating root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Generate reports and metrics on Maintenance, Repair and Operating (MRO) inventory performance, including stock levels, usage trends, patterns and outliers, inventory valuations, and provide key insights to support decision-making and planning.
  • Utilise the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System to integrate data of various business functions, including Inventory Management, Finance, Procurement, and Maintenance, to optimize processes and provide comprehensive insights into inventory performance across the organization.

 

What you will bring:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in inventory management - MRO type inventory - preferably in a petrochemical environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Familiarity with an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system is required.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management or Inventory Management (e.g., CIPS, APICS CPIM) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, PowerBi, SQL) and other relevant software applications.
