In Trinidad & Tobago, we operate one of the world's largest nitrogen complexes with 4 ammonia plants and 1 urea plant on 165 acres of Trinidad's sheltered west coast.  

 

What you will do:

  • Deliver engineering support for gap assessment, rollout and implementation of Nutrien Global Standards for Electrical, Instrumentation and Control System Equipment.
  • Administrator, implement and review results from the E&I Asset Care (Reliability) Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Condition Monitoring Program.
  • Investigate Equipment Failure Incidents, Equipment Performance/Reliability Issues and Production (Lost Tons) Incidents, and makes recommendations to resolve or prevent reoccurrence.
  • Develop strategies for effective maintenance and inspections on Electrical, Instrumentation and Control System Equipment.
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the reliability of critical Electrical, Instrumentation and Control System Equipment.
  • Provide extended field support to the E&I Execution (Maintenance) Team for the advanced troubleshooting and emergency repair of Electrical, Instrumentation and Control System Equipment and Machinery as part of day-to-day operations, as required.
  • Support the application of the site’s Asset Care (Reliability) and Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, inclusive of Bad Actors, End-Of-Life, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective Actions, Implementation Tasks, Operational Risk Management, Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Management of Change (MOC), and TapRoot Investigations.

 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ working experience in the design, specification, selection, installation and maintenance of Electrical, Instrumentation and Control System Equipment and Machinery in a chemical, petrochemical or related continuous process industry.
  • Familiarity and experience with Asset Integrity, Reliability and Maintenance improvement processes on Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Systems, such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Preventive Maintenance (PM) Improvement, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Reliability Engineering, would be preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound knowledge of Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Systems Equipment, and understanding of engineering best practices to ensure a safe and desired outcome is achieved.
  • Familiarity and experience with the use of Industry Codes, Standards and Best Practices.
  • Relevant certifications, registrations and licenses will be considered an asset.
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
