Trinidad Nutrien is hiring a range of skilled Technicians, E&I,  from levels II - IV.

 

What you will do:

 

       Technician II:

  • Understand the elements of creating a safe work environment for all employees/contractors by being knowledgeable of and compliant with all applicable safety, health and environmental (SHE) requirements, leading by example, and promoting a positive SHE attitude/culture to all.
  • Carry out E&I maintenance activities on the plants including the installation, ITPMS and troubleshooting of E&I systems.
  • Carry out configuration, calibration and maintenance activities on all measurement and control instrumentation on the site.
  • Basic Troubleshooting and Maintenance of Control Systems (including DCS, SIS, BMS, PLC and Turbine/Compressor Control Systems, and Machinery Monitoring and Protection Systems)
  • Work on low to medium voltage systems, such as transformers, motors, motor starters and switchgears.
  • Maintain updated documentation on all E&I systems including the entry of maintenance notes and historical data on the CMMS system.
  • Identify defects and enters work requests or requisitions to correct them.
  • Interpret E&I drawings and OEM specifications for troubleshooting and repairs.

      Additionally, for Technician III & IV:

  • Review jobs prior to execution and devlelop risk management plans to mitigate or eliminate SIFs (Serious Injury or Fatalities).
  • Work on medium to high voltage systems, such as transformers, motors, motor starters and switchgears.
  • Identify job hazards and ensure that all safety systems and core members are in compliance with the requirements.
  • Lead tool box meetings prior to the execution of all tasks with the relevant personnel and ensure that Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) are reveiwed and signed in the field.
  • Participate in equipment failure analysis, incideent and accident investigations to find root cause.

 

What you will bring:

 

 Technician II:

  • Industrial Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering Technology Technician’s Diploma with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of instrumentation, controls and power distribution systems in the Petrochemical industry

 

 Technician III

  • Industrial Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering Technology Technician’s Diploma with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of instrumentation, controls, electronics and medium to high voltage power distribution systems in the Petrochemical industry
  • Proficient in the application, implementation and troubleshooting techiniques of PLC and DCS systems.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.

 

  Technician IV

  • Industrial Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering Technology Technician’s Diploma with a minimum of 12 years’ experience in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of instrumentation, controls, electronics and medium to high voltage power distribution systems in the Petrochemical industry
  • Proficient in the application, implementation and troubleshooting techiniques of PLC and DCS systems.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
