What You'll Do:

 

  • Perform routine quality inspections on seed lots, including physical purity, germination rates, and moisture content.
  • Conduct laboratory and field tests to evaluate seed performance and compliance with industry standards
  • Develop packaging instructions for processed seed lots
  • Monitor plant and field production processes to ensure adherence to quality protocols and identify deviations
  • Collect and analyze samples, documenting results accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, test results, and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with production, agronomy, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal seed regulations and certification standards
  • Assist in developing and improving quality control procedures and testing methods
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and testing tools
  • Participate in audits and inspections as needed

What You'll Bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Plant Science, Biology or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-3 years of experience in quality control, seed testing, or agricultural production preferred
  • Knowledge of seed biology, germination processes, and quality standards
  • Familiarity with industry regulations (e.g., AOSA, ISTA standards) is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in data recording and basic computer skills (e.g., Excel, SAP systems)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
