What You'll Do:
Â
- Perform routine quality inspections on seed lots, including physical purity, germination rates, and moisture content.
- Conduct laboratory and field tests to evaluate seed performance and compliance with industry standards
- Develop packaging instructions for processed seed lots
- Monitor plant and field production processes to ensure adherence to quality protocols and identify deviations
- Collect and analyze samples, documenting results accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, test results, and corrective actions
- Collaborate with production, agronomy, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal seed regulations and certification standards
- Assist in developing and improving quality control procedures and testing methods
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and testing tools
- Participate in audits and inspections as needed
What You'll Bring:
Â
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Plant Science, Biology or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years of experience in quality control, seed testing, or agricultural production preferred
- Knowledge of seed biology, germination processes, and quality standards
- Familiarity with industry regulations (e.g., AOSA, ISTA standards) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proficiency in data recording and basic computer skills (e.g., Excel, SAP systems)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
