Reporting to the Manager of Procurement, Redwater & Fort Saskatchewan, this role will fully support all site maintenance and emergency activities with quick and flawless execution. The successful candidate for this role will play a crucial part in meeting individual and department goals as well as objective targets identified by management, making this role an integral part of the team's success. This role will require someone who is able to have a customer-focused approach while working in a team environment. Possessing a results-driven mindset and developing strong problem-solving skills will contribute greatly to your success in this role.Candidates should possess exceptional analytical thinking capabilities, robust organizational and time management abilities, and keen attention to detail.

This role is located at our Redwater, Alberta, Canada site and is not available for remote work.

What you will do:

• Work closely and collaboratively with the Business Unit to understand priorities, needs, goals, objectives, and opportunities to more effectively support the business. This includes collaboratively understanding inventory needs for upcoming maintenance work, establishing priorities, and expediting material where applicable
• Support the Inventory controller with inventory optimization initiatives such as min/max rationalization, updated lead times and part numbers, material returns, and material additions
• Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers, to monitor performance, negotiate material pricing, and to establish optimal delivery schedules for critical materials that align with maintenance execution schedules
• Support and managie the site in the repair and return process for all inventory capital spare and repairable equipment. You will work with the business to select the right supplier, work with the supplier to receive the inspection report and work with maintenance reliability on establishing optimal repair schedules that align with upcoming outages where these critical spares are required
• Conduct weekly meetings with maintenance, outage, and turnaround teams to review inventory reservations in SAP and set expediting priorities based on the business needs aligned with the upcoming execution of priority work
• Create and update the SAP material master in spares finder, identify materials purchased frequently to add to price agreements (SAP Outline Agreement), and identify opportunities to create new price agreements supporting automation priorities
• Spend channel optimization by purchasing from preferred suppliers with established agreements
• Process invoices workflow and GRIR promptly following Nutrien procurement policy and procedures
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual summaries related to inventory accuracy
• Create “value beyond savings” through continuous improvement efficiency and leadership of initiatives that create new value for the organization
• Conduct yourself with a high degree of ethics, discretion, honesty, fairness, and sound business practices
• Perform additional tasks as defined by the Site Procurement Manager, who will provide you with the necessary support and guidance to excel in your role

What you will bring:

• 5+ years' of relevant experience in purchasing, strategic sourcing, strategic procurement, and/or supply chain
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; MBA/Master’s degree preferred but not required
• Certifications in Procurement (SCMP/CPSM), Inventory Management (CIPS), Lean / Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence are preferred but not required
• Preference is given to experience at a large petrochemical or oil and gas industrial site
• Expert or high-level SAP /experience and the ability to learn quickly
