Discover more about Nitrogen at Nutrien! An exciting co-op opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Redwater Fertilizer facilities site beginning January 2025 for an 8-month term. This is a temporary, full-time position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work. 

What you will do:

• Laboratory bench work
• General laboratory tasks including instrument maintenances and calibrations, chemical inventory, and housekeeping
• Physical and chemical tests of nitrogen fertilizers
• Groundwater sampling and testing, grass sampling and various environmental tasks and testing

What you will bring:

• Enrolled in a Science program (Chemical Technology or Chemistry) or equivalent degree/technical program
• Competence in standard Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Previous related work experience at Nutrien or in another industrial setting is preferred
• Self-motivated along with the ability to pay close attention to detail and have a strong ability to work individually as well as in a team setting
