Reporting to the Supervisor, Construction, the Coordinator, Field Projects will manage field execution of assigned capital projects safely and on budget. The successful candidate for this role will produce results while working under pressure; requiring a high level of independence and decision-making abilities. This individual must be highly organized with excellent problem-solving skills.

 

What you will do:

  • Coordinate and execute field construction activities for capital projects
  • Execute assigned projects, supervise and oversee Contract Construction Coordinators and other assigned dedicated project contractors, and manage project specific materials
  • Ensure safety is incorporated into planning of all projects
  • Coordinate and track project specific supplies and equipment
  • Accountable for performance and deliverables of Contract Project Construction Coordinators to individual projects as well as any supplemental contract labour dedicated to projects
  • Ensure Contract Construction Coordinators are aware of and adhere to site safety protocols
  • Ensure investigation and follow-up of incidents on projects is completed
  • Determine supplemental contract Project Construction Coordinator staffing needs
  • Plan and schedule various projects
  • Be able to physically coordinate projects in the field (climbing stairs, ladders, standing for extended periods, etc.)

 

What you will bring:

  • CET or Journeyperson Trade Certificate
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
  • Knowledge of site safety, OH&S, and environmental regulations
  • Project execution background with strong internal customer focus on proven leadership/supervision skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of site Quality Control Processes
  • Good understanding of computer programs and applications (SAP, Word processing, Excel)
