The Outage Coordinator plays a key role in the successful development and execution of outage events. The coordinator will support scope development and lead planning efforts. In the execution phase, the coordinator will lead the safe execution of fieldwork (day or night shift) for the work they were responsible for in the development phase.The successful candidate for this role will possess effective leadership and communication skills.

 

This position is located at our Redwater, Alberta site and is not eligible for remote work.

 

What you will do:

  • Responsible for ensuring work scope is developed, planned, and ready for scheduling and field execution.
  • Leads execution of work scope, typically as an area owner, and is responsible for safety, quality, and schedule.
  • Guide multiple discipline trade groups. Direct supervision of Nutrien employees and contractors in planning and execution activities. 
  • Facilitate toolbox meetings, safety discussions, and provide technical direction to work groups. 
  • Ensure all scheduled work is complete, the area has been cleaned up and is ready for handover at the end of an event. Completion of close-out documentation, contractor feedback, and M3 notifications.

 

What you will bring:

  • High School Diploma
  • Valid provincial or inter-provincial Journeyman trades ticket 
  • 10+ years of experience in an industrial setting coordinating maintenance activities
  • Technical skills including SAP, Excel, Prmavera scheduling optimization
  • Ability to read and understand complex drawings (P&ID's, ISO's, Underground, etc)
