Reporting to the Supervisor Mobile Equipment/Infrastructure, the Labourer, Utilities is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable operation of site vacuum truck, gravel Trucks, sand truck, skidsteer, forklift, grader, front end loader and other equipment within the department . The Labourer, Utilities will be responsible for equipment operation as well as assigned labor duties for maintenance of the site. Heavy equipment operation knowledge and ability is an asset. The successful candidate for this role must be able and willing to learn to operate other equipment with proficiency in a timely manner.
What you will do:

Safe operation of light & heavy equipment to support the site

Maintenance of site drainage and runoff collection systems

Maintain roadways, walkways, parking lots and site infrastructure

Investigate, diagnose and request repair of equipment within areas of responsibility

Physically active duties to ensure safe, reliable operation of areas and equipment (housekeeping, cleaning etc.)

This position works with maintenance, outage, project, turnaround departments to deliver on-site support service needs

This position is expected to operate with a high degree of customer service, to meet work priorities, and make recommendations for improvement
What you will bring:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years experience operating heavy equipment
- Must be capable of performing physically active duties in an outdoor environment

Demonstrated heavy equipment operation experience and a strong desire or learn other heavy equipment (ie.vacuum truck, gravel truck, sand truck, skid steer , forklift, grader, frontend loader)

Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook required
