Reporting to the Supervisor, Planning and Scheduling, the Planner is accountable for developing high quality job work packages to be used for execution of Maintenance and Project activities. The individual in this position needs to have the motivation necessary to contribute positively to a fast paced and dynamic team environment, have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work with minimal supervision.

 

This position is located at Nutrien's Redwater, Alberta site and is not eligible for remote work.

 

What You'll Do:

 

  • Applies actual field condition information, relevant technical data, trade knowledge, personal experience, and where appropriate, input from maintenance, operations and technical resources to develop high quality executable plans.
  • Ensuring all plans developed are consistent with the Nutrien Planning Standards.  This will include safety procedures, maintenance standards/procedures, identification of required resources, estimated task durations, materials, equipment and services required to execute the work identified.
  • Assembles fully planned work into formal job packages when required for transport to Maintenance Groups and Projects Group for execution.
  • Develops and maintains Task Lists to ensure complete and accurate records consistent with Nutrien planning standards.
  • Reports on his/her progress on a weekly basis and communicate any issues that are preventing plans from progressing.
  • Reports all safety concerns and takes corrective action for a safety hazard identified that could impact themselves or others.

What You'll Bring:

 

  • Journeyperson Electrical ticket.
  • 8+ years’ experience in an industrial process setting.
  • Ability to handle large and varied work.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi task.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and data management systems including SAP and Microsoft Office.
