What You'll Do:

    • Provide mechanical engineering support during concept development, feasibility, and basic engineering phases of the project process to provide single path forward solutions to project managers for detailed engineering.
    • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to define project objectives and agree on options to develop with clear articulation of benefits and risks for each.
    • Liaise with Nutrien technical services groups, original equipment manufacturers and consultants for development of reliability, growth, expansion and sustainability projects.
    • Execute completely and in a timely manner, all documents required for preliminary engineering and options analysis through all project development phases, including relevant equipment data, engineering documents, stage gate documentation, and meeting minutes.
    • Utilize Nutrien equipment specifications and complete technical reviews as required for IFR and IFC packages for equipment purchase and installation to ensure that the equipment is built to recognized standards and practices.

What You'll Bring:

    • Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical
    • Registered or be eligible for immediate registration with APEGA as a Professional Engineer (i.e. P.Eng registered in another Canadian province or territory)
    • 8+ years of plant mechanical engineering experience on stationary equipment (focus area) and rotating equipment (considered an asset)
    • Working knowledge in pressure vessel and piping codes (ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, ASME Section VIII Div 1 & 2, ASME PCC-1, ASME PCC-2), and NDT inspection techniques.
    • Working knowledge in API 579, API 571, API 510, API 570 and API 650 is considered an asset.
    • Experience using PV Elite, CodeCalc, and CAESAR is considered an asset
    • Experience in Reliability Centered Maintenance is considered an asset
    • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, and organizational skills
