Discover more about potash at Nutrien! An exciting co-op opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Rocanville Potash site beginning September 2025 for a 8-month term. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work.
What you will do:
- Contribute to the safety culture at Rocanville Potash site by demonstrating strict adherence to safety policies and procedures
- Analyze plant data to support continuous improvement, recovery improvement, and cost reduction projects
- Develop sampling plans, analyze plant data, and present findings and recommendations to site management
- Prepare preliminary reports and provide recommendations for improvements
- Perform routine and non-routine plant assessment and trials
What you will bring:
- A minimum of 3 years in a Chemical or Process Engineering program
- Experience working in a mining/heavy industrial environment is preferred
- Ability to perform all tasks while demonstrating positive safety behaviour and safety leadership
- Passion and commitment for safety
- Expectation of self and others to demonstrate respect, at all times
- Mindset that understands the importance of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion in the workplace
- Outstanding interpersonal teamwork and communication skills
- Excellent analytical laboratory skills
- Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training
