What you will do:
- Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on Mining Equipment including onboard PLC’s / Protection and Control / HMI equipment
- Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on Material Handling and Hoisting equipment
- Assist electricians in installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of underground electrical control systems
- Create and modify of project work packages including procedures, commissioning lists, bills of materials, and training documents
- Work with equipment with voltage ratings up to 25KV
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to achieve goals
- Participate in using and promoting the safety systems in place
- Work on a 5-5-4 schedule, includes working days and weekends
- Work in an underground setting
What you will bring:
- Accredited Electrical Engineering Technologist, Instrumentation Engineering Technologist, Electronics Sytems Engineering Technologist or similar accredited diploma (Requirement), will consider Electrical Engineer
- Experience in heavy industry, in particular underground mining, is an asset
- Skilled in Allen-Bradley and Schneider PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting
- Proficient in RS Studio, FactoryTalk SE/ME, Unity, CodeSys
- Familiar with Protection Relays and Control Devices
- Familiar with industrial networking including Cat5e, switching, and industrial protocols (MODBUS, CIP, ETH/IP)
- Experience in fiber optics, L3 routing, wireless, Cisco IOS programming an asset
- Familiar and able to work safe in an Industrial Environment
- Ablility to communicate with multidisciplinary group in a complex production environment
