What you will do:


Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will work with the site to help deliver safe and efficient production of potash by leading the Electrical Engineering team to support milling operations.  This role is suited to someone who has developed among an electrical engineering  team.  This person must have progressive leadership experience and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


The successful candidate effectively manages the Mill Maintenance Electrical Engineering team including but not limited to the following duties:

•    Safety leader of an electrical engineering team providing in-field technical support for the maintenance, drafting, operations, and capital teams performing required regulatory compliance checks, key procedure audits, area inspections, job observations, quality assurance and quality control activities and actively participates in the 4 key safety priorities 
•    Provide guidance and mentorship to the team, prioritizing safety and inclusion while ensuring that safe work habits are enforced and instruct safe methods of doing work
•    Liaison with Operations, Maintenance, and Capital with input on the prioritization of engineering projects as needs arise while managing and meeting long term site electrical needs
•    Champion stakeholder engagement and collaboration on and across sites creating a culture of trust to foster innovation
•    Recruiting, teaching, coaching, and mentoring of electrical engineering resources
•    Support, mature and sustain site electrical infrastructure

 

What you will bring:

Education and Experience Requirements:
•    Engineering Degree
•    P.Eng. designation preferred
•    4 yrs or more progressive experience in leading and managing an engineering team
•    Demonstrated leadership abilities
•    Experience working in a potash environment is an asset
•    Industrial electrical design and technical writing skills
•    Strong background in power systems engineering and protective relaying, ensuring operational reliability and efficiency
•    Experience in controls and automation, including Allen-Bradley PLCs, VFDs, and DeltaV systems, with a strong ability to optimize and integrate industrial processes
•    Recognized expertise in network design and architecture, supporting secure and scalable infrastructure solutions
