What you will do:

 

  • Provide production face support
  • Complete geological mapping and sampling activities
  • Complete geological studies to enhance our ability to operate effectively, and increase our knowledge of the local geology to the mine. Studies may include, but not be limited to sampling of the ore body using various methods, core drilling in-mine, or using other geophysical tools like ground penetrating radar. This role will require a mix of office and field work.
  • Other duties include mine project work, identifying operational, capital and business improvement requirements, and constraints to execute mine development and production activities to ensure safe, reliable, sustainable, low-cost production at Nutrien Rocanville Potash.

 

What you will bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, or a related discipline
  • Eligible for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers of Saskatchewan
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in underground operating mine sites (preferred)
  • Proficiency with MicroStation, AutoCad, Amine, or alternate drafting and mining software
  • Proficiency with mine planning software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to complete work in a timely manner with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Retain a positive attitude and customer focused approach
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work underground
