What You'll Do:
Â
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with Nutrien safety policies and procedures
- Follow and contribute to continuous improvement of safety and maintenance policies and procedures
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Assemble and rebuild mining equipment and associated rebuildable parts
- Work together with other trades, operations staff, and outside contractors as required
- Support continuous improvement programs by maintaining equipment records and repair history and providing data for cause and failure analysis
What You'll Bring:
Â
- Possession of a valid and current Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification at either Level 2, Level 3 or Level 4
- Must have completion of apprenticeship training aligned with provincial or interprovincial standards
- Must pass the Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test.Â
- Grade 12 or GED
- Demonstrated commitment toward safety
- Stable work record with 3 to 5 years' experience, preferably in an underground mine
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High attention to detail
