What you will do:
• Manage all aspects of networking related to control systems, including programming and configuring network switches, designing Operational Technology (OT) network infrastructure, network monitoring and reliability
• Lead the separation of IT and OT (Control) networks, implement separate networks for PLC and DeltaV systems, and document network architecture diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with ETC policies, including cyber security requirements, Active Directory management, firewall implementation and management, and server oversight.
• Collaborate with other departments on shared responsibilities
• Oversee Distributed Control System (DCS), including upgrades, input/output, drawing updates, and coordination of work requests for instrumentation teams
• Assist in PLC programming
• Assist capital / operations with instrumentation and valve selection, manage and implement advanced process control systems (APC/MPC)
• Work with instrumentation on Loop Tuning Management
This position offers the opportunity to further develop advanced OT skills, contribute to critical control system operations, and collaborate across disciplines within Nutrien’s operational environment.
What you will bring:
• Technical Degree in an Engineering Discipline, a Technical Diploma, or Journeyperson Instrumentation or Electrical ticket
• Network and DCS Control System Management experience preferred
• Excellent computer skills would be essential
• Experience in Operations or Maintenance environment would be an asset
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Safety commitment
• Problem solving skills, time and priority management
